How it works.

There are a few ways you can begin to accept payments with PayU Easy. Select an option to see how they work for your business.

Web Checkout

Your customer is on your website and selects to pay. They are immediately directed to PayU’s secure payment page.

Your customer can select to pay by any of the payment methods available and follows the steps.

We take care of the transaction and your customer is immediately returned to your website and notified of the successful transaction.

Payment Request

If you do not have a website, you can still send a request via email or social media to allow your customer to pay online.

Your customer will receive the request and when he clicks on pay, he will be directed to our checkout.

Your customer can select his preferred payment method and follow the steps. Both you and your customer will be notified of the successful transaction.

Payment Button

You can enter our Administrative Module and select the tool to create a payment button. This works well if you have a website with limited products.

The payment button tool will ask you a series of questions about each product you want to sell and will then generate the HTML code to put on your page.

Your customer can enter your page and when he clicks on the pay button, he will be directed to our checkout to complete his transaction.

Your customers want to pay you online - but how do you accept the payments? PayU Easy makes it quick and hassle-free. Customers simply click a link on your website or a button to pay and are transferred to our secure payments page where we handle the entire process. When they’re finished, we deliver them back to your site. The payment goes into your online PayU account and you can transfer the money to your bank account when you are ready. You don’t have to worry about negotiating with banks, payment security or the transaction – that’s our job. All you need to do is sign up and get selling.

How much does it cost?.

We charge a variable percentage plus a fixed fee per approved transaction, depending of the volume processed per month.
  • If you sell between $1 - $200,000 MXN 3.50% + $4 MXN
  • If you sell between $200,001 - $500,000 MXN 3.3% + $3 MXN
  • If you sell between $500,001- $1,000,000 MXN 3.1% + $3 MXN
  • Cost per transaction in OXXO 3.5% + $3 MXN
  • Cost per transaction with AMEX 4.5% + $3 MXN

Notes.

  • These fees apply to local merchants
  • The fees do not include the IVA of 16%
  • Successful transaction: a transaction that is approved for the financial entity. Transactions that are not successful (cancelled, declined, and abandoned by the buyer) do not have a cost from PayU.

    We offer different options for integration with our platform to fit your needs, technical capacity and budget.

    Integration options available are:

    1.    Web Checkout Integration: Connect your online store with the PayU platform and when your customer clicks the button to pay, they will be directed straight to our checkout website to make the payment.
    2.    Integration API: You can connect your online store to the PayU platform and the checkout process will be handled on your website.  To integrate this option you must have a PayU Business account and advanced programming skills. (Currently unavailable for global merchants).
    3.    Plugins shopping carts: You can use many third party shopping carts or pre-integrated solutions to process your payments through us. Click here to see the plugins available.  
    4.    Payment Button: A button that allows you to connect your blog or website to our payment gateway, without requiring additional development. This is the best solution if you only have a few products.

    We offer two types of accounts: Personal and Business.

    The documents required to open a personal account include:

    • Scanned copy of national ID (Certificate of Citizenship).
    • Scanned copy of a bank certificate or the first page of a bank statement.

     

    The documents required to open an Enterprise account are:

    • Scanned copy of national ID (Certificate of Citizenship) of the legal representative of the company.
    • Scanned copy of a valid certificate of the legal existence of the company (from the Chamber of Commerce).
    • Copy of a bank certificate or the first page of a bank statement from a bank account in the name of the company.

    PayU offers two account types to meet the needs of its customers. To have a Personal account, you register as an individual and the account is in your name; whereas for Business account, you register as a legal entity and you must provide documents of incorporation of your company and the information from the legal representative.

     

    You can have a Personal account and a Business account according to your needs; it is important that you register with a different email each.

    Note: if your business is a travel agency or offers hosting or accommodation services, your account must be created as a Business account.
